Rapidly growing materials handling firm warehouse1 has added a well-known national brand name to its organization with the acquisition of Kansas City-based Royal Equipment Company.

The 35-year-old Royal Equipment brings to the company a host of long-standing national relationships with vendors and customers. The Royal name is also synonymous with quality sales and service, making it an ideal fit with warehouse1, says Mary Lou Jacoby, warehouse1s owner and CEO.

I have long admired Les Housley and how he built Royal Equipment into the national presence it is today, Jacoby comments. As I got to know his business even better during the negotiation process, it was clear to me how adding Royal to our family would benefit warehouse1 and our customers. Housley was Royal Equipments owner and CEO.

Jacoby expects the addition of Royal to add 10% to warehouse1s revenues this year alone. She says that Housley has joined warehouse1, where he continues to serve Royals existing customer base, while also consulting with the warehouse1 sales staff.

Les brings so much to the table that can make a real difference here, says Jacoby. Needless to say, Im pleased that were working together now.
