SOLNA, Sweden, January 7, 2014 – International Business Systems (IBS), a leading global integrated ERP and supply chain technology provider, today announced that LLC Wholesale Supply, a wholesale distributor of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, has selected the IBS Business Suite 2014 to automate all aspects of its pharmaceutical distribution operations, including compliance with ePedigree laws.

The cloud-based solution allows LLC Wholesale to take advantage of the software’s powerful features without the expense of acquiring and managing any on-site hardware infrastructure. The pharma-specific enterprise software is fully and securely accessible via an Internet browser VPN connection to an IBS managed data center.

IBS Enterprise, part of the IBS Business Suite 2014, is designed specifically to handle the unique requirements of pharma and medical supplies distributors, including customer and supplier rebates, CSOS (Controlled Substance Ordering System) and ARCOS (Automation of Reports and Consolidated Orders System) reporting, NDC (National Drug Code) cross-referencing, license validation and suspicious order monitoring, to name just a few.

The platform and software are scalable, handling companies with as few as 10 users to enterprises with more than 1,200 users. LLC Wholesale has also selected rfXcel’s ePedigree solution, offering out-of-the-box integration to IBS’ Enterprise. The ePedigree automated processes help pharmaceutical companies reduce costs as well as risk by eliminating the types of manual, multiple-entry work that can lead to errors and operational inefficiencies.

“The compliance requirements for pharmaceutical distributors, including ePedigree, can be quite taxing for distributors and manufacturers, yet any failure to comply, no matter how small, creates enormous risks,” said Tim Conroy, General Manager for the Americas, IBS. “With the recently passed Drug Quality and Security Act (H.R. 3204) providing for a federal uniform system for drug traceability, further compliance reporting will be required. LLC Wholesale is well positioned to respond to both current and future compliance reporting requirements. Its selection of IBS and the rfXcel ePedigree solution speaks highly to the quality of our offering in this area.”

“LLC Wholesale researched full-featured pharmaceutical distribution technologies with electronic compliance reporting capabilities and selected the IBS solution based on its comprehensiveness and scalability,” said Josh Joles, Operations Manager at Tempe, Ariz.-based LLC Wholesale Supply. “Our company is experiencing significant growth as a result of our business in the State of California and elsewhere, so we wanted to deploy the right software to enhance our performance and be ready to meet governmental requirements.”

IBS partnered with San Mateo, Calif.-based rfXcel for the integration of its ePedigree solution with IBS Enterprise, the IBS ERP solution.
IBS is recognized as a trusted industry leader of ERP and WMS distribution software, preferred for consistently improving operational efficiencies and business performance for mid-market companies challenged by the complexities of managing distribution.
