New York, February 2009 – Vistage International, the world’s leading chief executive organization, has named Mark Taylor as a Vistage Chair in Manhattan. Taylor joins a community of more than 20 Vistage Group Chairs and nearly 500 members in the greater New York metropolitan area. Vistage member companies in New York employ more than 50,000 and generate more than $5 billion in revenue.

In this position, he will be responsible for building and facilitating groups of CEOs who meet monthly to discuss their business issues, share expertise and provide one another confidential help in critical situations. Taylor will also serve as an executive coach, meeting individually with each group member to provide accountability and support to improve the member’s business performance and personal leadership skills.

Taylor, a Vistage member for 11 years, says, “After joining Vistage in 1994, my company doubled its revenues and increased its bottom line. More importantly though, I grew as a person and became a better boss, husband and father. I’m at a time in my life, when I want to give back for the success I’ve achieved in business. I want to share my experience and the knowledge that I’ve gained along the way. One of the greatest sources of wisdom that I received was from being a Vistage member.”

Taylor received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and a certificate in Organizational Coaching from George Mason University. A results-oriented executive with a 35-year history as an accomplished CEO and corporate manager, his extensive leadership and operational experience offers a diversity of relevant business building skills and perspective to Chief Executives and business owners. Taylor thrives on coaching people who run companies to positively transform their businesses during times of turmoil. Taylor is the author of a book, writes a monthly column on Better Management and a blog, www.ceocoach.nyc.com.
