SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. American Relocation & Logistics (ARL), a leader in quality relocation, warehousing and logistics services, has supported youth-oriented programs including Operation School Bell and Merryhill School. This expands ARLs ongoing commitment to supporting organizations that improve the lives of those in the local communities where the company does business.

American Relocation and Logistics is proud to support worthy programs to help educate and encourage our youth, said Larry Whittet, Chief Executive Officer for American Relocation and Logistics. As a transportation company, we try to come up with unique ways to use our resources to give back. Because of the commitment of our management and the dedication and generous spirit of our people, we are able to work together to successfully participate in worthy community activities such as these.

Among these efforts, ARL donated a trailer and its people donated their time to enable the students at Merryhill School in Coto de Caza, California to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. For the eighth year in a row, students were treated to Thanksgiving on the Mayflower, a 53-foot trailer complete with logos of the famous ship. Elementary students in Kindergarten through 2nd grades participated in the event and learned about American History and the significance of the holiday during this fun event.

ARL also participates in the Operation School Bell on Wheels program. Operation School Bell (OSB) is a service provided by volunteer members of the Anne Banning Auxiliary of Assistance League of Southern California (ALSC) to bring hope to local communities by providing services directly to those who need it most. At OSB, impoverished children referred by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) receive new clothing and personal grooming items. In 2004, Mervyns Department Store donated OSB on Wheels, a fully outfitted 53-foot trailer converted into a mobile department store. Every month, the OSB on Wheels trailer delivers assistance right to the doorstep of a selected school in the LAUSD.

ARL driver Jose Luis Espinoza, who has been a driver for the company since its inception in 1980, was recently made an Honorary Member of the Anne Banning Auxiliary in recognition of his extraordinary enthusiasm in helping to ensure the children who visit the OSB on Wheels program receive one-on-one attention to help build self confidence and make it a positive experience.
