TORONTO, Ontario (January 25, 2021) – Metroland Parcel Services, a Torstar Corporation
business, announced today the acquisition of the parcel delivery business of ShipperBee Inc.
ShipperBee is a growing distribution and logistics business with key accounts in Central and
Southern Ontario and will immediately increase Metroland's reliable and cost-effective final-mile parcel delivery operations in Ontario.

“Our purchase of ShipperBee's parcel business significantly expands our footprint in the GTA
and surrounding communities,” said Paul Rivett, chair and co-owner of Torstar Corporation.
“Additional scale will help us to improve our industry-leading service level commitments and
support retailers’ needs to move their products efficiently and professionally to the households we already serve using our existing infrastructure.”

ShipperBee will retain all intellectual property, the parcel transfer mailbox network, and the
development staff to continue developing their shipping software.

Jim Estill, CEO of ShipperBee, said “Torstar/Metroland has a perfect geographic footprint to
take on the ShipperBee customers. We are confident our shipping customers will be in good
hands.”
