MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) announced today that, for the second year in a row, the company will not apply additional residential surcharges during the holiday season, except for shipments that are oversized, unauthorized or necessitate additional handling.

“FedEx delivers possibilities every day for millions of small- and medium-sized businesses,” said Raj Subramaniam, executive vice president, chief marketing and communications officer, FedEx Corp. “We are demonstrating our support for these loyal customers during this critical timeframe by not adding additional residential peak surcharges, except for situations where the shipments are oversized, unauthorized or necessitate additional handling.”

Peak surcharges for such shipments will be effective Nov. 19, 2018, through Dec. 24, 2018. Details can be found here: fedex.com/peak-surcharge

FedEx Express and FedEx Ground also announced general changes to surcharges on unauthorized shipments and some packages requiring additional handling, effective Sept. 3, 2018. Details can be found here: fedex.com/rate-changes

FedEx is also updating certain fuel surcharge tables at FedEx Express and FedEx Ground effective Sept. 10, 2018. Details of these changes will be available on fedex.com by Aug. 10, 2018.
