NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI - The 8th Annual Supply Chain Management Summit (SCM Summit), held on Thursday, August 20th, 

will be featuring some session presented by some of the industry's leading experts in supply chain security and diversity best practices.  The 2015 Summit will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

 

During the Summit's morning session, Cheryl Snead, President & CEO of Banneker Industries, will present, "Security In Action - Are You Ready for the Tough Situations?"  This interactive session is designed to prepare supply chain managers and executives with tools to ensure the security of their warehouses and distribution centers.  Featuring real life scenarios and case studies from Snead and other subject matter experts, this highly interactive workshop will provide responses to different security situations from Insider Threat to theft of a critical supplier product that will help participants make their companies and supply chains more secure.

 

For the Summit's luncheon keynote address, Eugene Campbell, the Vice President of Supplier Diversity for The Walt Disney Company will speak on "Imagineering - A Supply Chain Perspective from the Walt Disney Company". 

Mr. Campbell will provide a unique perspective on how one of the world's largest and most influential entertainment companies handles it global supply chain.  Included in his talk will be the successes and challenges when the demand for a successful movies, like Frozen, can't be anticipated, the needs of theme parks across the globe, and how to put that Disney magic into movie theaters, branded stores, theme parks and your living room.
